Crane Flat       This day hike follows a closed section of the Old Big Oak Flat Road into the Tuolumne Grove of the Giant Sequoias. In the winter months the Tioga Road is closed at Crane Flat where there are several marked cross country ski trails.
Merced Grove       This day hike takes visitors through a forested terrain to the small but awesome Merced Grove of Giant sequoias.
Lukens Lake Lukens Lake (No Camping) 0.8 1.3 Lukens Lake is a popular day hike from the Tioga Road. Overnight hikers using this trail can continue north to Grant Lakes and Ten Lakes or west to White Wolf.

Yosemite Creek Campground to Yosemite Falls

Top of Yosemite Falls 8.0 12.8 This trail follows Yosemite Creek to the top of Yosemite Falls. Overnight hikers must camp at least 4 miles from Yosemite Valley and at least ¼ mile from the rim of the valley.

Ten Lakes/ Yosemite Creek

 

 

Grant Lakes 5.8 9.3 This is the most direct route to Grant Lakes and the Ten Lakes basin. Hikers on this trail will pass Half Moon Meadow and then climb a ridge with rewarding views of the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne River and the north country before dropping into the Ten Lakes basin.

May Lake

May Lake 1.5 2.4 A short hike on this trail leads day and overnight hikers to scenic May Lake nestled below Mt. Hoffman. Overnight hikers can continue beyond May Lake to the Ten Lakes basin or Glen Aulin. Overnight hikers must stay in the designated backpacker campground at May Lake or camp at least ¼ mile from the lake shore.

Snow Creek Trail on Tioga Road

 

Yosemite Valley (Mirror Lake) 7.9 12.6 This trail is the shortest route between the Tioga Road and Yosemite Valley, taking hikers down the Snow Creek drainage and then dropping onto a very steep trail with switchbacks to Mirror Lake. Hikers may also continue west along the north rim of Yosemite Valley toward North Dome and Yosemite Falls.
Olmsted Point       Beginning at scenic Olmsted Point, this trail also leads hikers across rolling granite slabs into the Snow Creek drainage, Joining the Snow Creek trail after a couple of miles.
White Wolf to Pate Valley

Muir Gorge

      This trail gives overnight backpackers access to the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne and to the trails leading into the heart of the high country. The descent to Pate Valley is steep.
Old Big Oak Flat Road       Beginning at Tamarack Creek Campground, this old road leads to the primary route to El Captain.
White Wolf Campground       Day hikers using this trail can take a pleasant stroll through red fir forest to Lukens Lake open to day use only. Overnight hikers can gain access to the Yosemite Creek watershed, Grant Lakes and the Ten Lakes basin.
White Wolf to Smith Meadow (Harden Lake)       This trail begins along the Old Tioga Road and then leads Hikers through red fir forest to Smith Meadow and Smith Peak.
South Fork of the Tuolumne       Hikers may have difficulty finding and following this little used trail which crosses the south fork of the Tuolumne River and leads to Aspen Valley.
Aspen Valley Road       This little used route is the original Tioga Road and passes forested terrain between White Wolf and Aspen Valley.
