If I am a parent, how might I contact my child or my child's teacher?

Students and chaperones of the YI program are always on the move. When they're not in the field all day, they are having meals in the cafeteria and getting to and from evening and morning meetings. This makes it difficult for you to reach your child, or his or her teacher, by phone.

Messages for student participants can be left on our YI voicemail system.  These messages will be checked by the Site Coordinator and relayed to a chaperone of the school who can deliver the message to the student.  Students also have access to pay phones in Curry Village, Crane Flat and the camp in Wawona. Just before or after breakfast or dinner are the best times to have your child contact you.

The YI voicemail number is: 209-379-9511.
