Yosemite Institute has an expectation of all students and chaperones to actively participate and contribute to an enjoyable and safe learning community.
Disruptive and disrespectful behavior of students or chaperones negatively impacts the experience for others. Not supporting the learning and living community,
failing to follow directions and guidelines outlined by YI staff, and making poor judgements that compromise personal safety or the safety of
others will not be tolerated.
A student contract will be distributed by the teachers and group coordinator and is to be read and signed by a parent or guardian and
by the student. The contract outlines behavioral guidelines that Yosemite Institute expects you to
follow.
In addition, YI chaperones are expected
to provide supervision and discipline by reinforcing rules and guidelines
provided by the YI staff, helping support instructors' activities and
learning in the field, and supervising students during free time to ensure
their safety.
